Elderly People Aid Team

In our country,Elderly people have many townships and villages .In my village,That Yet Pyin ,Buthidaung Township ,elderly people are dependence to live their house without their progeny because their progeny are married and live together with family .That time ,community people care this people .Sometime They are sick but they couldn't go to hospital because of money .Thay couldn't get look after their progeny .Some of people are supporting to solve their health and difficult time .People who are active man for concert to work together chrity with us .We met with local youth leader and villager ,we told them about our plan to found team for the elderly people . After agreement,we had founded `Elderly People Aid Team´ since first January 2015 by 17 youths .In the first ,we have a problem to solve it because of money .We collected one person 2,000 in a month to solve that problem .After four months later,some of youths are participate with us .We regarded over 75 years that's elderly people .We bought some medicine ,snack and other things for that people .It celebrated as 1st Elederly People Aid Team Ceremony ,in April 13,2016 . One of the elderly man ,98years who was regarded eldest people .We donated him more than other elederly people .Some of people are donating money for EPAT from other country because they are going to work to solve their problem in other country .In 2017-2018,we crossed a complexity time about money due to supporter that's why our team became positively .We helped to clean in temple of the monastery compound and refit near my village by fund .Every years we regarded as EPAT ceremony in April 13.In 2019-2020,Our villager was living in their houses due to civil war .Sometime military was coming to search enemies in my village .When they didn't find to them ,they shooted in front of village by gun that's why our villager was absconding to IDPs camp.Our team donated some foods to them.

Myself

I'm Nay Win Tun who is struggling to escape from horrible violence, and then a place near the Bangladesh called Buthidaung with bad saturation is my native town and my village,That Yet Pyin. Since I was born, I have known how to overcome difficulties. I have faced difficulties that encourage me into something better. In my life, I never gave up because I failed many times such as Matriculation and then I motivated myself. I learnt about diversity in term of my experiences. In first, I schooled with many diversity students such as Muslims. My family has five people and my father is principle of middle school. During my childhood many problems came to us such as Muslim conflict. When I was young, I always went to school on foot and this is very difficult to go to school because the roads were very mudy but I knew how to avoid and overcome this horrible saturation by achieving good progesss.It is not because of saturation but because of my emotion.I was always trying to reach my goal by the time my failed Matriculation, many people ignored me and people's behaviours were pessimistic to me but I struggled to achieve to be better. Within I schooled high school, I learnt under problem between military of government and Muslim. One day, I heard one news when I tested high school's test that was my father was assassinated. My father was almost dying because my father was killed with wood. At the same time I was testing high school exam but I could not very well because of father. I passed high school exam in 2018 and in finally my consequence was good by trying hard. I decided to keep on my education and there was one opportunity that's to attend training. I attend ( leadership development program) , (sharing experience) , and I could reveal my progress by attending trainings. At the same time, there are fightings between two armies. In Buthidaung, most villages are burned and become as battlefields including my village, and then my family is also living in IDP camp now. In most of the times, my father is always sick he got wounded in the past, so my father can't earn money like regularly but I has one elder brother who is administration of government staff. I wored as a post-man and then did other things to earn money for university, one of assiduous men. I meet with Arakenese youth leader who is working for youth development in social media with one video by giving speech in (IPYG, international peace youth group.I joined with my friends to attend +Change Maker( youth development community college ).When I arrived at the school.I met with young leader from eight township in Rakhine state and also met local youth leader .Now,I'm studying at +Change Maker(youth development community college) ,not only English language but also other things.I can communicate with many people and whatever I do.This is a lodestar for me to get better future.I get a lot of knowledge and experience in this school.Sometime,we choose one country in the world and study from google to give presentation in front of people. We compare as google is a big library for us because of any information of the world for everyone.We attend Publish Tall with twelve township of youth leader and debate each other.In coming Chan national day,we participate with youth leader of eight township.We read english story books and give a presentation about it by english.We choose one subject in our school as I like ,and then We search in internet and give presentation in front of our studentds.I choose main subject busineess for me.In this school,we build accommodations as project and cook foodstuffs ourself.There are a lot project in this school

Mr. Aung MyintvThu biography

A man who is working to develop youths education and to get better education. His name is Mr.Aung Myint Thu ,was born in 1990,small island in Rakhine State, myanmar name Manaung island or Chuduba island.In 2006,he moved to Thailand for his better education.In that period,they were still under Military Government- Myanmar and he was working for youth development in Refugee Camp(civil war)which is in Thai-burma Border and then he learned a lot about meaningof Refugee ,Civil war and ethnic army organization

In 2011,He came back to Myanmar and started small local youth supporting organization, Manaung Youth Networking Group which is not just in Township level organization but national level and working with organization around the world.

In 2012,he won one year full-scholarship at Kant Kaw Education Center,Thaby Education Foundation , which gave him an opportunity to work at Enpowerment Program for parliament (EPP).In 2013-14,he was an English teacher of Myanmar member parliament and parliamentary staff.He worked with a noble prize winner,Daw Aung San Su Kyi and some top general directors.He came back Yangon to work at Thabya again for one year.

In 2015,Union level youth conference started inviting him as a representation.There have been some invitation letters from Cambodia,Indonesia,Thailand for community development dialogue.

In 2017,He was invited by Arakan Liberation Party(ALP)/Arakan Liberation Army(ALA) to work for them.

In 2018,He have worked for Media Development,Indigenous Rights Development,Youth&Education Development,International Relation Development,and Peace Process Development since 2007.He well known as journalist,youth and education developer,peace maker.He have been activity participating at International Peace youth Group(IPYG),working with them.He already met more than 20 former presidents of the world.He gave a speech at The World Peace Summit- South Korea, attended by many former and current presidents { 4th Anniversary of the WARP Summit (17th to 19th)} . More than 25 former and current presidents (from Romania, Ukraine, Burundi, Guyana, Kyrgystan, and Nepal and so on) and 50 experts from various fields, and introduced various activities and methods attended the summit.

In 2019-2020,he opened one English school,+Change Maker(known as Youth Development Community College) his native township. Eleven township of Arakanese youth leader attended in this school.

Losing future of northen youths

Most of students are attending school from far.Other ethnic groups are the same, their village has a primary school, but it is far from the teachers. They are not going away, insecure, and often replacing others with their responsibilities. Even though they have to leave from their homes because of fighting, now the majority of ethnic groups are staying IDPs camp. There is no place to work and no breeding ground, and the virus is coming in a variety of ways.Youth people. are losing their future .They are staying with 164211 people in IDPs ,rakhine state.So,it hasn't teacher to teach their lesson and also no school.It is difficult time to study for youths.

At present, young people are struggling to make ends meet in education, and they are not paying much attention to their families. They have to look for a living and they don't have much confidence if they can do business with a small amount of money because of no ever secure.When the bombers are coming,they are afraid to stay their house in IDPs camp.Organization of people are helping to eat healthful food and money for the Internal Display persons(IDPs) people .Sometime, they don't arrive with foods and clothes in IDPs because government of military inspected its and then they didn't allow them to go to IDPs with its.They are backout of information by the longest internet shutdown which 64532hours.They don't have opportunity to watch news that's why to become dark and blind because of civil war.

Responsibilities of the DRC

Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is one of the organization in the world.it was founded in Denmark in 1956.It assists refugee and internally displaced persons(IDPs) 40countries across the globle.It has since grown to become an international humanitarian organization with 9000employeers and 7500 volunteers .They work conflict-affected areas,along the displacement routes in the country where refugge settle.It has been operating in Myanmar since 2009 and is currently supporting operations in four different states (Kachin, northern Shan, Kayah and Rakhine). DRC aims to provide immediate relief and protection to displaced people and vulnerable host communities in an impartial, inclusive and neutral manner.

Our country office is located in Yangon with field bases in Rakhine,Kachin, Kayah and Northern Shan states.

DRC in Myanmar currently employs 361 national staff, 30 international staff and 883 camp-based incentive workers.

DRC has been operating in Myanmar since 2009 and in Rakhine state since 2010,assisting more than 1.5 million people of different ethnicities and religion. DRC myanmar is founded by the Denish international development Agency(DANIDA),swiss development cooperation(SDC),the Europe commission(EUHO),USAID,LIFT and UN agencies,including UNHCR and UNICEF.

In Rakhine state,DRC office is located in Sittwe,it operate from two offices in Sittwe,Mrauk-U and Maungdaw and are present infive townships ,Sittwe,Mrauk-U,Kyauktaw,Pauktaw and Maungdaw.This role covers the whole of Rakhine state, including all protection activities managed from Sittwe, Mrauk'Oo and Maungdaw.

School attendance among Rakhine children was high, at over 94 per cent for primary and middle school-aged girls and boys. It was lower for high school-aged girls and boys, at 80 per cent in Rakhine villages and 55 per cent in Rakhine relocated sites. In Muslim camps, over 80 per cent of primary school-aged girls and boys were attending school or temporary learning spce.

It have two project in livehool which GIZ and LIFT but activity similar .Skills development trainings , Rakhine’s public Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions are in a poor condition with a lack of qualified trainers and modern equipment. the TVET system will need to be put in a position to equip youth with the knowledge, skills and competencies to achieve their career aspirations and contribute to regional economic growth.

Rakhine State in the coming years, including agriculture, manufacturing, infrastructure, livestock, fisheries and tourism.

TVET structures is focus to increasing knowledge and competencies of vulnerable youth of all ethnic groups to become active members of their community and proactive contributors to their own individual advancement and the wider socio-cultural development

GIZ project pursues a conflict-sensitive approach based on the context of the target groups’ lives to improve access to labour market-oriented training opportunities and employment-promotion measures for young people from vulnerable population groups in Rakhine State including those living in IDP camps.

The GIZ project will focus on the provision of (mobile) life-skills (e.g. oral communication, interpersonal skills, problem solving and team work) and market-oriented skills trainings (e.g. sewing, carpentry, masonry, small engine repair) as well as employment promotion measures like the provision of start-up kits, internships and small grants to start micro-businesses. This will be done in cooperation with the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) and Danish Refugee Council (DRC) and local civil society originations (CSOs). Therefore, the GIZ-SDY project will work together with the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population (MoLIP) as well as the Government Technical High School (GTHS) in Sittwe to strengthen government capacities and to update the TVET infrastructure in selected areas.

About Sein Din waterfall

Sein Din is one of the waterfall in Rakhine state.The waterfall is located at the top of Mayu river in Buthidaung Township.It is far 50 miles north of sittway(captial city) and 30 miles northeast of Buthidaung Township.The waterfall is about 70feets high and 700 feets wide.The catchment area is about 30miles long and15 miles wide long enough to reach the northerm border of Bangladesh. The natural bamboo forest is near the waterfall.The Sein Din is full of the natural beauties,having much rock mass where a lot of herbs keep growing.Most of people are coming this waterfall to play on a wide of water by roft and jump on tiers and tiers of water.If those who want to a visit to the waterfall,they can go their by propeller- driven boats from the Buthidaung.They pick up snails from within water.They fowl fish with fishnet.Some of businese men are growing bamboo and hardwood near waterfall town.After one year later,they are cutting bamboo and follow with cross-current in the stream.They are waiting over 19 years for the hardwood .In 2008,a man who built pagoda near the waterfall but it was inconstancy because the water was very harsh ,broke craggy.Ethnic people were living near waterfall for a long time.

Leadership Development Program

I'm Nay Win Tun ,from Buthidaung ,Rakhine state in the westermost part of Myanmar .I had attended Leadership Development Program bath(5) since first 2019.Four ethnic people are attending this school,Rakhine(arakan),Muslim,Dinets,Kami.It has twenty students and five students from one ethnic group.We have five subject to study 6 hours in a day.

In past, I don't have confidence to speak in front of people.I don't know what skill i have. I was learning some of the main ideas in peace education, understanding conflict and different kinds of conflict.The actors in conflicts and the main source of conflict.We debated with my friends as our lifestyle about understanding peace focuses of peace , peacemaking and transitional justice.I did presidation with power point by english.Peacemaking is trying to change violent conflict into non-violent dialogue.The goal of peacemaking is to end violence between actors.Peacemaking can be done by the people who are involved in a conflict themselves.

We can define citizenship in different ways.Citizenship is a legal relationship between an individual and our country.If citizens have passports,birth certificates and other docements ,we can say that a person is a citizen of our country .Its prove that they are members of country.It have rights in their country and certain responsibility including military service,paying taxs and obeying the law of country.Citizenship education programmes help people to gain the knowledge ,skills and confidence to actively participate in the development of our communities.
